Some Theological Questions for Christians to Consider.

I have posted below some theological questions for Christians to consider. The questions are made to highlight some shortcomings of the current dialogue between Protestant and Catholic Christians over the issue of justification, especially in St Paul's letters.

The NT letters are historical documents written to historical faith based communities. So when St Paul wrote his letters to the several communities in the NT, how did the faithful come to be justified prior to them receiving Paul's letters?

Jesus initiates the new covenant in the upper room on Holy Thursday night. What is the relationship between faith in Christ that justifies and the covenant based upon the institution of the Eucharist?

What is the relationship between faith in Christ that justifies and the new Exodus?

How does the Christian participate in the new Exodus?

The OT prophets promised a restoration of Israel. How did Jesus restore Israel and where did the Christian go to participate in Jesus work of restoration?

What is the relationship between faith in Christ that justifies and the restoration of Israel?

What is the relationship between faith in Christ that justifies and the new creation?

What is the relationship between the new Exodus and the new Creation?

What is the relationship between the new Exodus and the restoration of Israel?

What is the relationship between the new Exodus and the new covenant?

How does justification relate to the above themes of the new Exodus, new creation and restoration of Israel?

If the theme of justification ignores the above three themes, how does Jesus as the cause of the new Exodus, new creation and restoration of Israel as the works of God promote Jesus as God/Messiah?

If the theme of justification is tied into the themes, of the new Exodus, new creation and restoration of Israel how are those themes included in St Pauls letters in relation to faith, hope, love and justification?

The NT fulfils the OT which promised God would marry his people. As Jesus is the groom and the church is the bride, what is the influence/context of divine marriage with regard to faith and justification in St Paul's letters?

The NT divine marriage is a fulfilment of the original garden of Adam and Eve where the original man were both justified. Where do justified Christians participate in the NT garden and eat of the NT tree of life?
