The Falsity of Atheism Shown if the Universe Exists.

Theism concludes there is a creator.
Therefore Atheism concludes that there is no creator.
The universe exists.
Therefore if atheism is true, 1) nothing created the universe, 2) the universe either created itself or 3) the universe always existed.

1) If nothing created the universe, then nothing is a cause.
But nothing is a negation of being.
And an effect, such as the universe, is a being.
Therefore if nothing is the cause of the universe, then a negation of being is the cause of an effect.
But an effect has being from the cause.
Then a negation of being is then a cause of being.
Then a not being is a cause of being.
Then a not being is a being.
Then not A is A.
But a contradiction is false.
Then nothing caused the universe is false.
Then if atheism holds the universe was caused by nothing, then atheism is false.

2) If the universe created itself, the act of self-creation is absurd.
For creation requires an agent to act to bring a thing from non being to being.
Yet for a self-creating act to occur the agent which creates is the same thing that is created.
But if so, then the thing created must exist before it is created.
Yet no thing can exist before it exists to cause itself to come into existence.
Therefore if atheism is true the existence of the universe cannot be accounted for.
Therefore if atheism holds the universe was self-created, atheism is false.

3) Or, the universe has always existed.
If the universe has always existed, then the universe would have wound down to the lowest energy state according to the law of entropy.
As the universe has not wound down, the universe's age is finite.
A universe of finite age infers there was a time when the universe did not exist.
Therefore the eternity of the universe is false.
As the universe is finite, then atheism must defer to the falsity of the self-creating universe, which is false.
Therefore if the universe exists, atheism cannot account for the existence of the universe.
Therefore because atheism requires a universe exist that is against the empirical sciences, atheism is false.

Even if we grant the absurdity of the self-creating universe, the universe that created itself has begun from non-being and attained an end of its currently developed state.
To change from non being to developed being, the universe must go through a process of more from less.
Yet cause and effect act so that the effect is dependent upon the cause and then always participate in the causes being and thereby has less and never more being than the cause.
But for the universe to change from non being to the currently developed being, requires the universe to act against the nature of cause and effect.
In fact, if the universe has always acted to have more from less, then all of the sciences are false, for the sciences always describe the real in terms of the laws of conservation.
Such laws of conservation always imply the falsity of more from less.
Therefore, as atheism assumes the false principle of more from less, atheism is false.

Even if the universe had always existed, the universe and all of its parts are contingent and require a distinct agent (which is itself being) other than the universe to cause the act to be of the universe.
The foreign agent that exists is the prime being who acts to preserve all things in existence.
This agent that acts to preserve is God.
As atheism denies the existence of God, all things within the universe continue to exist from one instant to the next without any reason given to account for the act to be of any creature.
As creatures exist, and atheism cannot account for the act to be of any creature, atheism is false.

So if atheism is true, then -

The universe began to exist, and atheism cannot account for the creation of the universe.
The universe self-created, which is not possible.
The universe did not begin to exist, and atheism cannot account for the universe that exists against the law of entropy.
The universe developed and atheism cannot account for development without the use of the false principle of more from less.
The universe has the act to be and atheism cannot account for the act to be of any creature.
Therefore atheism is false.

In fact, because atheism is false, nothing can exist at all if atheism is true. For God, who is being, is the only reasoned account for the act to be of creatures.
Yet things do exist.
Therefore atheism is false.

The only way atheism is true, is if all contingent creatures do not exist and the necessary being also does not exist. The non-existence of all contingent creatures is possible, for God has revealed there was a creation event, and therefore there was a time when creatures were not. But the non-existence of the necessary being is not possible. For the necessary being is that thing which has an identity of essence and being. The necessary being is the thing, which is itself being, or is itself existence. For the necessary being not to exist is stated as - that which is existence does not exist. Such a statement is a contradiction and thereby false. Atheism is then true if the necessary being does not be, which is false. Therefore atheism can only be true, when consequently false. Therefore atheism is false.
